Thieves and burglars are on the prowl in Cenla, most of them in search of items to sell for quick cash to support an addiction.
DON'T leave valuables in your vehicle, even if you're sure it's locked.
An 18 year old girl found out the hard way on Twin Bridges Road. Her 1999 Camry was broken into and the thief made off with valuable booty.
The Alexandria Police report lists the following items as stolen: Mac Lap Top computer, Cannon digital camera, IPOD, calculator, electronic school key, cell phone, $500 in clothing, text books, 25 Prozac pills, 25 vyvanse pills (ADHD Medication) and a book bag. APD later arrested a suspect, 19 year old Matthew Cross of Kateland Road in Colfax. He was charged with 4 counts of illegal possession of stolen things over $500, 2 counts of simple burglary (vehicle) and 1 count of burglary of an inhabited dwelling. The girl told police her car was locked but she discovered it with the trunk open and the doors unlocked. Cross was arrested Thursday afternoon.

It seems as if those who have not don't like working in order to have... It's much easier taking from someone who has already worked for it. Sooner or later these guys won't be so lucky. I hope people get smart and protect what they worked for, even if by force.
I'm sure he thought this is what was meant by the "stimulus plan",...
Thanks to her stuff, he was stimulated!
Hmmm, an 18 year old girl on prozac and ADHD medication, are you sure she locked her car?
Huh, Huh, Huh?
